A typical village house in Cembroni, a village about 20 minutes drive from Bagni di Lucca. This stone built house has a simple but modern kitchen, well equipped with a fridge-freezer, washing machine, microwave and TV with satellite, a living room with a sofa bed, and a downstairs bedroom which sleeps 1.

Below this is a cantina (with shower) with access to the small garden. Upstairs, where the floors are cotto and the beams exposed there is one pretty double bedroom and a second slightly smaller twin bedroom. There is also a bathroom with shower. Central heating means the house is available all year round. Outside is a small garden, with table and chairs, and a wonderful view. There is parking nearby.

The village is set among the chestnut wooded hills above the Lima valley, and there is plenty of gentle or strenuous walking according to taste. The summit of Monte Prato Fiorito (1297m), the mountain behind the village can also be easily reached.

The main village of San Cassiano is five minutes walk away and has a general shop, a butcher, two bars and a post office. There are also evening 'feste' - outside parties, in the summer, open to all.
